We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it only in accordance with Swiss data protection law — the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) — and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

The controller responsible for processing your personal data is doitdeco, a sole proprietorship of Quy Studer, Bäriswilstrasse 4, 2545 Selzach, Switzerland. For any privacy matter you can reach us at info@doitdeco.ch.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data we need to run our shop and fulfil your orders:

• Order data: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and the items you order
• Account data: if you create an account, your email address and login details
• Payment data: the information required to process your chosen payment method — card payments are handled by our payment provider and we do not store full card numbers
• Communication: the content of messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp
• Technical data: server log data such as your IP address, and anonymous usage statistics

3. Why we process your data

We use your data to process and deliver your orders, provide customer service, meet our legal obligations such as accounting, prevent fraud and misuse, and improve our shop.

4. Legal grounds for processing

Under Swiss data protection law, we may process personal data for the purposes described above without needing a specific legal basis, provided we respect the principles of the Act — lawfulness, good faith, proportionality and purpose limitation. Where the EU GDPR applies to you, we rely on the corresponding legal bases: performance of our contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interests.

5. Service providers we work with

To operate our shop we share data with carefully selected service providers, only to the extent necessary:

• Payment processing: our payment provider for card payments, and PostFinance (Switzerland) for bank transfers
• Delivery: Swiss Post (Switzerland) and any carrier used to deliver your order
• Hosting: our website and database run on servers located in Switzerland
• Website analytics: privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that we host ourselves in Switzerland; analytics data is not shared with third parties
• Email: an email service provider that sends our order confirmations and service messages

Data transferred abroad

Most of your data stays in Switzerland. Two services process data abroad:

• Card payments: our payment provider processes payment data in the European Economic Area and the United States
• Order and service emails: our email provider processes your email address and the message content in the United States

For these transfers we ensure an adequate level of protection through recognised safeguards — in particular standard data protection clauses — or the transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies needed to run the shop, such as keeping your cart and session. Our website analytics are cookieless and do not track you across websites or build a personal profile.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Order and invoicing data are retained for the statutory retention period of ten years under Swiss commercial law.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion, to object to certain processing, and to receive personal data you have provided to us in a commonly used electronic format (data portability). To exercise these rights, contact us at info@doitdeco.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our shop uses encrypted connections (TLS).
